I’m fantastic, how are you? My life is great! I don’t go to regular school but I do have schoolwork at home with my grandma and aunts (it’s not very fun…but they insist.) because if I was to go to regular school I would have to miss a lot of it, and people might wonder why I get so big so fast! My family is the best! My mama and Daddy are the sweetest and Jake is my best friend! Uncle Emmett and Jasper are craaaazy, they wrestle a lot, and Grandma and I play referee. Jake is so fun to play with…he loves to race with me, but I think he lets me win sometimes. (and even though mama doesn’t really like it when he turns into a wolf near me, it’s so fun! His fur is super soft, like a teddy bear!)

Because the funnest person to bug in this house has been out all the time. Ahem, where have you been hiding, my most favourite, precious niece in the whole world? What about your Uncle Emmett, huh?

I’m your only niece, silly! -laughs- I was playing hide and seek with Jake earlier, under the piano, but he had to go to la push to see his dad. I waited to see if anyone would come by, so I could scare them, but no one did.

Nessie had woken up early, finding her mother and father out on a sunrise hunt. It wasn’t unusual for her to wake up in the small cottage by herself, not because her parents didn’t worry for her, but because the main house was only a minutes run from there. If anything was to happen, she could be out of there within a minute or someone would be there before something could happen to her.

The mornings were usually reserved for quiet time, or at least they tried to, but sometimes her uncles couldn’t calm down after a long night of play fighting. Nessie was dressed, and out of the cottage before the sun was fully over the horizon. She pushed the porch door open easily, the large frame towering over the tiny girl.

For the first time in a long while, the house was eerily quiet. It wasn’t empty, Nessie could hear the low chatter of her uncles, aunts, and grandparents, but everyone was in their own rooms. Nessie shrugged, knowing that she could still come in even if everyone was relaxing. She flitted across the main living room to the white baby grand piano that her father had gifted to her and place next to his, flipping through the book of music. She found the old papers that in her fathers script read ‘Bella’s Lullaby’. Nessie smiled and sat up straight and began with the first line, the sounds of the piano ringing through the house.
